God DEFINITELY has a sense of humor

I dont think i fully understood this phrase until just these past few weeks. All along Daniel and I had been planning for him to go to grad school while i got a job and paid his way through school. We were diligent in our prayer(and still are) about where God would lead us after i graduate in may, so we thought for sure that it was Chicago but little did we know...ok if you dont already know then you are probably telling yourself that you wished i would just get to the point!

We have felt lead to do missions. Ah i know what you are thinking (or at least i was saying that to myself). You mean be a missionary?? who me?? no way...those are people who live in a really far place with no running water or the internet in a hut made of sticks (ok maybe that is a little too far but you get the point). I always thought it was exciting to see what missionaries are doing, but to be one is totally different.

So when daniel and i felt that God was calling us to do this i honestly just wanted to laugh....it was funny to me. But the more and more i prayed and thought about it, it became real and very exciting to take part in the work that Christ is doing! So this week we are applying to the missions agency and everything that goes with that (it will probably take a year for everything--Lord willing!) SO PLEASE PRAY FOR US!!!

....on a side note we are moving into our new apartment on Wednesday (i am pumped!) Pictures will be up very soon!

little joys in life...

My mom suprised me tonight with something that is so amazing and has lots of chocolate and calories...GIRL SCOUT COOKIES!!! No just any, but tagalongs...those are my favorite (two of them are already in my belly). If you havent ever had them then you are missing out!

Husband Story...

I just wanted to take a second and let you know why my husband is so amazing...This might seem really silly to you, but Daniel did the laundry tonight (which is nice itself). See I have these 2 particular pairs of jeans that can not be dried (the man at the store told me not to dry them so i dont). I was hesitant to buy them because i knew Daniel does laundry alot and might not remember to pull them out of the washer, and i just didnt want to deal with that....but of course i got talked into buying them.

Anyways continuing on with the story...I went to use the restroom while Daniel did the clothes, and lo and behold when i came back to our room my jeans were hung out to dry. A smile came over my face because Daniel remembered not to dry them in the dryer...i love the fact that he knows me so well!! THE END!

Just in time...

(This is not what our thank you notes looked like, but i wanted to experiment with photoshop some more...this is a real picture of the back of our car as we drove off!)

Daniel and I just finished something that has been on my mind for over 6 months now...OUR THANK YOU NOTES!!!! We are so excited that we dont even know what to do!!! The rule (or at least what i have heard) is that you have 6 months after you get married to send out your thank you notes, and guess what...Monday will be our six month anniversary! Talk about waiting till the very end...oh well i am just thrilled that they are done!

Our life in pictures

I created this collection of pictures because I am learning how to use photoshop...so i hope you enjoy my first attempt! Remember though this is my first time to use this program, so I am an amateur compared to those of you who are pro's at it!

*on a side note...i am sick at home with a sinus infection! the doctor was completely booked today that all they could do was call me in a perscription...so i am waiting to go pick that up!

G-daddy's birthday

My Granddaddy's birthday party was this Saturday, so we celebrated at his house. We became a little obsessive about taking pictures, so that is why we have so many! I hope I will live to be 73 years old like he is!

2 in a row...

Daniel and I went out 2 nights in a row....we usually dont get out that much because I am either doing homework, or anything we want to do costs money and we have none! But that changed this week as we went to the school's JB's coffee house(FREE) which was wonderful! My good friend Deena performed and was wonderful (she is in the above picture)...enjoy the pictures!

The lovely couple....

I was showing how strong I am...

We don't really get out much on week nights because of my homework overload, but last night we changed that!! We went to visit our good friends Dustin and Brooke. (If you don't remember who they are, let me recap....Dustin and Daniel have been best friends since high school, and Brooke works for my Dad. One day, my Dad got this brilliant idea to set Dustin and Brooke up on a blind date soo....we did and over a year later they are going strong).

Dustin was in town for the week, because he just recently moved to Colorado (with Brooke still here) for a job. We were so excited to get to spend time with both of them!
